OSHA will soon be knocking on your door. Starting in May 1998, its new initiative mandates it to contact each business on a one-to-one basis. No longer will it rely on phone calls from disgruntled employees, or accidents to call on you. It will systematically list each and every business for a scheduled inspection. The only businesses that will not be on this primary list are those companies that have already complied with its requirements. The fines will be outrageous, and the inspections will be traditional wall-to-wall comprehensive and time consuming. Will you be caught with no Safety Plan or with one that is obsolete? Will you be able to avoid the first time maximum fine amounts as high as $70,000!
Our Safety and Health Plan meets and exceeds the criteria established by OSHA. It qualifies your business under this new OSHA mandate (see FAQ's). By installing this Safety Plan in your business, you can instantly (by contacting your state safety department) have your business placed on OSHA's secondary list for automatic inspection. We're offering you the latest, most comprehensive "next generation" of safety plans that completely covers such critical areas as:
Even OSHA's Compliance Officer's have commented that this plan is without a doubt the "Next Generation" in Safety and Health Plans and the finest one they've come across to date. It's easily made "site specific" and covers virtually everything!
Your Safety and Health Plan even includes checklists that guide your employees in making sure they've follow through with every safety requirement from planning the work site to the first day on the job --- right down to a typical job site safety sign that OSHA loves to see on every job (and makes your business look really professional).
Each Safety and Health Plan comes complete in a attractive three ring binder customized with your company name. It also includes a master copy with complete instructions on how to reproduce it and to make it "site specific" for each individual project.
Our Safety and Health Plan has proven itself time after time in the field - where it counts! Why leave your business exposed to OSHA's time consuming and costly scrutiny? Why pay OSHA's huge back-breaking fines?
Recent reports have proved that the average contractor will spend up to $10,000 in employee wages just compilling the paperwork required from an OSHA investigation and developing his Safety Plan from scratch. And that is on top of your fines! Is it worth wasting your hard-earned money this way?
I'm sure your smart enough to agree that it isn't!

OSHA Expands Cooperative Compliance Programs to Reduce Injuries and Illnesses In the Workplace
Secretary of Labor Alexis M. Herman announced today Osha's new initiative to inspect every business for safety violations. He also stated that OSHA will extend to employers who are willing to commit to protecting workers by implementing safety and health plans into their business, the opportunity to virtually eliminate their chance of OSHA inspections.
Companies with less than 100 workers will reduce their chance of inspection by 90%. Companies participating in this program must first establish an effective safety program.
OSHA reports that companies that join in this program will be placed on their secondary list for inspection. Companies not participating in this program will automatically be placed on OSHA's primary list for immediate inspection with traditional inspections, fines and penalties. OSHA expects to start enforcement on May 4, 1998.
The key to this program is the Safety and Health Plan OSHA says, and advises employers interested in taking advantage of this opportunity to seek help from consultants in establishing their safety plan.

FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)
Question: "Can you help my business with a qualified and approved OSHA Safety Plan?"
Answer: Yes we can. Although the majority of our clients are in the construction industry, our Safety Plans can be applied to your specific field. Contact us.
Question: "I'm the only employee, I hire all subs to do the work. Why would I need a safety plan?
Answer: Under the standards, you're considered the employer. This makes you responsible for all sub-contractors and their employees. It is your primary responsibility to initiate and maintain a safety program. NO EXCEPTIONS!
Question: Osha has never even come around any of my jobs, why should I bother?
Answer: Osha recognizes that for the last 25 years they've been ineffective in reaching every contractor. That's about to change. The new OSHA does intend to inspect every contractor that doesn't comply (see press release), and they've initiated the computer systems and procedures to locate them. Is is worth it to expose your business to such huge fines when for as little as $695 you can protect it?
Question: How bad can a OSHA inspection be if I don't have the Safety plan?
Answer: Pretty bad. A wall-to-wall comprehensive inspection can last anywhere from 8 to 24 hours or more! The compliance officers will review and double check your job-site and all of your records. They'll be looking for every possible violation. Example: By not having the OSHA poster on your jobsite, this one violation will cost you $1,000 (as part of our Safety plan we will tell you how to get yours free). Right off, you save $1,000 just by owning our plan (an immediate savings of $305 to you).
Question: But the Republican congress cut back OSHA's funding, they can't afford to find everybody.
Answer: True the Republican "Contract With America" did cut OSHA's budget by $15 billion, but, under President Clinton's new budget, OSHA gets over $35 billion in funding. Not only did OSHA get back the original cutback funds but received an additional $18 billion or so to fund this new initiative.
Question: How much can the fines be?
Answer: The new fines for first time offenders are a maximum of $7,000 per offense, maximum amount of $70,000. Theoretically, it can cost you $70,000 for not having a Safety plan. Repeat fines can go as high as $210,000! Now imagine the cost of your time, loss of business and your lawyers fees!!!
Question: How can I benefit by protecting myself, my business and my employees?
Answer: Your first benefit is saving your business over $70,000 in fines. You'll also create a safer workplace, and studies have proven that productivity increases dramatically in a safer work enviroment. Also, you'll decrease your worker's compensation costs. No accidents and having a safety program, reduces premiums and experience ratios. Some of our clients have had their insurance companies contribute financially to their safety programs. Others have the Owners contribute to it through a "Safety Bucks" plan. And, the majority of smart contractors use their Safety Program as a very effective marketing tool.
Question: I work in the residential arena. OSHA would never bother us"
Answer: Wrong! Since the summer of 1998, we have been doing Safety Plans at an average of one to three a week for contractors who work primarily in the residential arena and have been visited by OSHA! These contractors are from all over the United States. No one particular area of the country. With this increased activity on OSHA's part, it means only one thing. You could be visited next!
Questions: I'm ready to protect my business and become a smart contractor, what do I need to do?
Answer: E-mail us your name and FAX number right now! Be sure to mention your ordering because you visited our this page. We'll FAX you our information form. Fill it out and return it to us with payment ($695 + $14.95 s & h ). We accept Mastercharge and VISA (fax it all back to us and you'll get faster service), or mail it with a check or money order.
